Capilano Golf and Country Club in West Vancouver

Capilano Golf and Country Club is a world class property in a unique setting on the North Shore of Vancouver, just west of the Capilano River. It was conceived in the 1930s when a young and determined Vancouver entrepreneur approached the wealthy Guinness family of Great Britain with a grand plan to purchase and develop 6,000 acres of choice wooded hillside in West Vancouver.

As part of their master plan for the land, the Guinness family set aside 160 prime acres for a golf course that would eventually become Capilano. Today, this is one of the best courses in Canada and ranks amongst the top ten in the entire country.

The golf course is a beautiful piece of property with spectacular views over the Pacific Ocean, Grouse Mountain and the City of Vancouver. It is a challenging course with a lot of slopes and some really tricky holes, but it is also a very enjoyable course to play.
